    just picked up some....

Plastic DAG 308 rounds for use in my M&P10:

    http://www.wideners.com/itemdetail.c...m_id=8699&dir=

I'm pretty sure that I"ll tire of cycling the action..but what the hell, they say they're accurate out to 100 yards....

I'll probably have a few extras if anyone wants to purchase some: not sure I'll need all 1K rounds...but I couldn't pass it up for the price

    .308 shelf at Sportco

    Powder at Sportco

    Mags at Sportco

The clerk in the reloading department at Cabelas said their resupply of powder has been sitting on the dock for three weeks pending Customs clearance that normally takes a day.

Wholesale Sports in Federal Way isn't too bad about their hunting/defensive rifle ammo. A little low on handgun, and very low on ball.

There's a special bolt carrier group for HK clones that'll cycle that plastic stuff no problem. I almost went for some but at $289 for the carrier group +1K rounds I instead went the steel cased route on real ammo. I know the DAG will punch paper, but I always wondered how good it is on varmints and soft targets within 100yds. like they advertise.

    Anyone seen pounds of Varget?
The Marksman had some. None at Cabela's Lacey, Sportco, Welcher's, Bullseye. Welcher's did have a good supply of powders though.

Hey, Noobie, by 0900 this morning I loaded 400 rounds of 230gr FMJ 45ACP. And I shot all of them by 1500. I also finished my 12 pack of Rocky Mountian Pisswater at around 1630, then I headed to the bar...Now, I'm home, and the woman is fetching forth a Guinness, whilst my steaks cook on the Treager. So yeah...right back atcha

In other news, the pool for reasonably priced .22LR in Spokane/CD'A has dried up. I'm feeling pressured with only 6K rounds O/H....

Matt45, I only know you from your posts here and on TOS, but I like you already!! Except that like LOT of folks on the dry side you drink that "Rocky Mountain Pisswater" LOL. Glad to see you upgraded to Guinness later in the day. I probably SHOULD get back in to reloading, I USED to reload years ago when I was shooting 9MM. Just need to figure out a space to do it at in my smallish apartment.

The .22 LR situation DOES suck. In my 59 years on the planet, I NEVER thought I would ever see it where you couldn't just walk in to any store that sold ammunition and walk out with adequate supplies of .22 LR
