I have Vista now. I can upgrade to 7 for free. Is it worth my time to install 7, or should i just stay with what i know?

So with my new .22 setup that I'm working on, it seems that the TacSol v-block is rubbing in my stock where the action rests. I'm guessing that I'll need to carve a small notch out of the stock so it sits flush, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on either: a) the easiest way...
